Some updates on my Japanese learning. Great news is i caught up with all my REPS. Which i had over 160. Which is too much. However i am able to recognize a bit more now than i did before. I missed 火曜日(Tuesday) and 金曜日(Friday) so i had to catch up quite a bit. Those days ill need to miss due to my Band Practice and hanging out days so i’m not stuck at home like a loser with no life hahaha. Anyway, Yesterday i met a 日本人 named とき. Now that i know there’s at least one person to talk too, i can try to speak. Man did i suck. Good thing is I’m not afraid to make a few mistakes. Soon i have to talk to my penpal from tokyo, Which should prove a challenge. Soon ill make an effort to read more and get better. よし！
talk to you tomorrow.
Today i made an attempt to try and use a program called 3D Studio Max in Japanese. MAN that was an adventure. Trying to find the buttons i needed to model but i got through 85 percent.Which is awesome. I did ten kanji as well and listened to plenty of TV. Im in one Whole week according to the calander! Just awesome. Hope to keep this up!
Better late than never. きょう was ridiculously busy. I had class then i have been speed modeling all day to get models out for a ビデオゲーム I am working on. Then after work, my coworkers rendezvous at my place to hang out. I thought i would never get to do anything 日本語 あした, でも i just did 10 kanji and put them on my wall. Got to catch up あした and review on にちようび。 よし！！ So far so good. I recognized some kanji from an anime I saw recently called となりのせきくん Great anime with 7 minute episodes. Time to go to sleep. Laters!
With the second post, I have so far gone onto my 5th day of japanese.
I have listened to it while 3D modeling and annoying my coworkers with constant radio. Last picture posted i have been using a pad called Kanji-a-Day, which when done once a day will be boring as hell. But i have done 100 so far. sunday i did 30, monday i did 30, tuesday i did 20**(Got home late due to band practice), Wednesday i did 10, and today i did 10. It seems i am dropping in numbers BUT i am reading and i did some Anki SRS reps today while waiting for an advisor at the school im planning to attend. So far so good.
I ran into a website recently who the name is Benny Lewis who has learned to be fluent in 90 days. I used that to listen to some of his advice. Weather i agree or not we’ll see. This is why i am attempting this 90 day insanity japanese test. Of ｃourse to throw it out there, I am marking down the days i have practiced. Khatz explains how Jerry Seinfeld uses this calander technique to see how long of a streak he can keep. Thje longer the streak the better you study and the more motivation you have for yourself. I think i can say that i might have passed what Khatzumoto mentioned before about being a three day monk as well. This is good stuff. If you haven’t checked out his blog. You should.
Well see ya tomorrow.
Hi, my name is Danny Serrano. I have been on and off studying japanese for about 2 years. This blog is to hope document my progress and i go through the endeavor of work, music, game development, school, and japanese learning. I have made many attempts to learn thought pimsleur, and rosetta stone (Which suck by the way) and started kana and memorized it very well through self study. Now i have been listening to tons of radio though my phone, and watching tons of tv and anime without really picking up a book. Three days ago i wanted to push myself after a 6 month lazy spell of barely 3d modelling, writing music, and studying japanese. So i made the attempt to try and learn Japanese and attempt to speak fluent in 90 days… which seems ridiculous… (in the words of khatzumoto) your mom says hi by the way. I really hope to make this happen and not be lazy any more. My attempt is after 90 days, ill continue with no problems. Lets see!!
